UbiSoft, one of the world's biggest video game publishers, announced that Puzzle Pirates on CD-ROM for Windows, Mac and Linux is now available on store shelves.

Author Stephen Smith's best-selling book "Addict", detailing his life in the 1970s as a destitute addict, will be made into a feature film.

Directed by Andy Serkis (best known for his star turn as Gollum in the "Lord of the Rings" films), "Addict" is slated to star Johnny Depp in the role of Smith. Early buzz on the script has Depp's role "practically ensuring him his first Oscar win," says one source. The film is tentatively set for a spring 2006 release.

Variety reports that Johnny will co-produce Nick Hornby's upcoming book "A Long Way Down" with Graham King and David Heyman.

A tale of four people who meet over a New Year's eve holiday and help one another cope, "A Long Way Down" is set to be released in bookstores in June of this year.
