"Pirates of the Caribbean" is coming your way via computer-and you can be part of the story!
The Walt Disney Internet Group will launch a massively multiplayer online role-playing game in conjunction with the theatrical release of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" in 2006, sources say. The game will allow players to adopt an online persona and do battle with in-game characters as well as competing crews.
The play-for-pay game's pricing has not been determined yet. Unlike Disney's earlier "Toontown Online," which was aimed at children and families, "Pirates of the Caribbean" will focus on teens and adults, keeping with the film's PG-13 rating.
