Verifying an earlier news item, actor Bill Nighy confirms that he will appear in the upcoming sequels to "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl" in the role of Davy Jones himself.
"I am a very, very, very, very bad man and I am there to make people suffer in all new ways, in ways that you won't have seen before," Nighy said. "I have a boat and I have a crew, and they are really evil buggers."
George Lucas' Industrial Light and Magic is once again in charge of visual effects, and fans of Nighy may have trouble recognizing him. "I'm so computer generated that you might have trouble spotting me. You'll know it's me, but you might have to check the credits afterwards."
Nighy didn't reveal any real spoilers, but he did comment "They're cracking stories, they're great stories. If you liked the first one, you'll love this."
Nighy's upcoming film "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" premiered in the UK on 20 April and opens in the US on 29 April.

Disney and tech provider Blinkx have reached an agreement to utilize Blinkx's "Smart Folder" technology to promote the upcoming "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."
The technology allows content to be "pushed" to a folder on the user's computer, allowing Disney to feed users sneak previews, photos and more that are not available through other means. The service is being provided to end users at no charge. Read more about it here.
