TV Tome reports that actor Bill Nighy was recently in Los Angeles for the filming of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," in which Nighy will play a pirate. Nighy can be seen in the upcoming feature film "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

Xinhuanet reports today on the second pirate attack in the Malacca Strait in recent weeks. Unlike the earlier attack, the pirates did not take hostages in exchange for money.

According to printed reports, three pirates boarded the Japanese-owned vessel at approximately 3 am and robbed the 21 Filipino crew members of a total of approximately 20,000 US dollars before escaping in a fishing boat.
