Already one of the most magical places on Earth, Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort gets a little more magical each year during two popular after-hours events featuring special entertainment and surprises for all ages - Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
On 29 evenings in 2005 -- five more dates than last year -- the theme park will come alive with dazzling decorations, spectacular fireworks displays, Disney characters, live shows and treats for the whole family. The fun begins at 7 p.m. (after regular park operating hours) and continues until midnight. Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
By popular demand, this family-friendly celebration of gentle chills and thrills will expand in 2005 to 15 nights of spooky fun -- the most ever -- Sept. 30, Oct. 2, 6, 7, 11, 13, 16, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30 and 31. Separate admission to the event is required.
Each date will feature opportunities for trick-or-treating throughout the theme park, and all guests are welcome to wear Halloween costumes. Plus, the Disney characters will be dressed in their favorite costumes, too!
LEGEND OF MICKEY'S-NOT-SO-SCARY -- With jack-o'-lantern held aloft, the Headless Horseman stampedes down Main Street, U.S.A., nightly during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. Joining this ghostly rider are favorite Disney characters dressed in Halloween costumes of their own. The popular after-hours event takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight, with special Halloween-themed entertainment including a parade, trick-or-treat locations, fireworks and unlimited use of popular attractions.
The evening also will include "Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade," Mickey's Mouse-Ka-Rade costume parties, Halloween storytelling, live shows and unique merchandise in the most magical place on Earth.
New this year is a spectacular Halloween-themed fireworks display - "Happy HalloWishes" -- featuring spooky music from family-friendly Disney attractions and movies including Haunted Mansion and "The Nightmare Before Christmas," as well as the voices of memorable Disney characters such as Madame Leota, Ursula, Jafar, Maleficent and Oogie Boogie.
Plus, families can enjoy unlimited use of popular attractions such as Mickey's PhilharMagic, Stitch's Great Escape, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan's Flight, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, and many more.
Advance tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are $34.95 plus tax for guests ages 10 and above, $27.95 plus tax for guests ages 3-9. (Children under 3 are admitted at no charge.) The advance ticket prices are good for all dates except Oct. 31. Tickets on the day of each party are $39.95 plus tax for guests ages 10 and above, $32.95 plus tax for guests ages 3-9.

A winter wonderland of holiday fun awaits guests on 14 nights in 2005 -- Nov. 27 and 29, Dec. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18 and 20. Separate admission to the event is required.
Each date will feature delicious treats served at locations throughout the park, two performances of "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade," holiday storytelling, live music, unique merchandise and exclusive Disney character shows including "Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and "Celebrate the Season." New this year is a spectacular fireworks display filled with traditional holiday music.

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Celebrates 10 Years Sept. 30-Nov. 13
Disney's 10K Race for the Taste Oct. 9 a Festival Challenge
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- To mark the 10th anniversary of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, there will be new tastes with old-world flavors, new wine and cooking schools with culinary experts, and a new way to work up an appetite -- Disney's 10K Race for the Taste -- as Future World and World Showcase overflow with first-rate food, wine and beer experiences Sept. 30-Nov. 13.
Each year, the festival features marketplaces with ethnic cuisine samplings, and this year the more than 20 marketplaces from around the globe will include new adventures showcasing Turkey, Singapore, Puerto Rico and Chile. Spain wine school and a cooking school join the lineup of learning opportunities, while on Oct. 9, participants in Disney's 10K Race for the Taste will finish the run at Epcot in time to indulge their appetites.
The festival also features wine and beer tasting seminars, a lineup of winemakers from around the globe and an impressive list of guest chefs, elegant dinners, grand tastings and pairings. Also, the festival's nightly Eat to the Beat! concert series will feature a varied musical lineup, including R&B, jazz, classic rock and oldies performers.
In recent years, the festival around World Showcase Lagoon has grown dramatically, attracting a diverse audience of more than one million guests each year -- from wine connoisseurs and epicures to droves of wine neophytes eager to boost their wine IQs.
"Our goal is to provide greater varieties of experiences at different levels to reflect the diverse tastes and interests of our guests," said Nora Carey, festival manager. "To celebrate 50 years of Disney theme parks and our 10th festival year, we've pulled out all the stops and created a truly memorable food and wine event."
More than 100 wineries offer tastings, and guests can sample the marketplace cuisine in tasting portions ranging from $1.50 to $4.50. Other highlights include:
--The Festival Welcome Center, with a Champagne and Sparkling Wine Bar, commemorative posters and other festival merchandise, including wine.
--Some 250 Disney chefs and guest chefs conducting culinary demonstrations and hosting elegant dinners and tasting events -- guest chefs scheduled this year include Ming Tsai, John Ash and Bradley Ogden.
--Up to 1,200 international wine and beer seminars with complimentary samplings.
--Elegant dinners, the weekly Party for the Senses grand tasting with entertainment by Cirque du Soleil and other by-reservation-only events.
Along with the music, dance, acrobatics and avant-garde entertainment showcased at Epcot pavilions and special exhibits, festival guests can enjoy Eat to the Beat! concerts performed three times each evening at America Gardens Theatre.
Entrance to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, plus select wine and beer seminars and cooking demonstrations, is included with regular Epcot admission.
